*Thinking* I don't know about you, but I've been thinking about what to do in a targeted manner for several days now. For me, help during this time is also a way of coping with the situation. There are certainly many who would like to help at the moment, but are unsure what exactly that could look like. Also, not everyone has money left over to donate things like phone chargers or the ability to drive to the border by car.
I'm talking about the possibility of helping in the neighborhood with things like translation help, dealing with authorities, collection campaigns for local refugees, etc. - in a coordinated way!
Because sooner or later the changes will also be noticeable here.
In order to bridge the gap, I started researching and wrote to some initiatives in the neighborhood/district as well as to politicians and asked for information.
I don't want to force anyone to participate. That's why I'm opening a group at nebenan.de called "Weißensee hilft" in our neighborhood and inviting those who are interested to join.
As with our initiative, I am convinced that even small things can make the difference.
